haha.. that sounded pretty dumb.
I'm not too sure on how to call the process, but what basically they did was to sand and varnish the parquet flooring.. so it'll look shiny..
Hence my succinct but silly opening sentence ..

On Monday, they started installing the mirror and the glasses needed for our furnitures.. started installing the mirror in the living room.. not finished yet.. still have some others that they need to install..
On Friday, the contractor cleaned up our unit..
acid washing process or something like that..
whatever it is.. our unit came out sparkling clean..
oh well.. maybe not super clean.. but it looks much much cleaner than previously..

The people from Jimmy Textiles came and installed the curtains.
They're the first installers who actually told me that the installations are gonna be boring, and tell me that it'd take 2 hours to complete, and in the meantime, I could go somewhere and come back again in 2 hours.
Anyway, I went to buy some a fan for the flat, and came back when they finished their installation. I bought a 12" floor fan from Homefix for $31.90. Not bad. :-)

The center panel opens up for the TV, and part of the bottom panel will open to allow access to the DVD player.

As a side warning for those of you who want to set up a home theatre system.. please take note.. component cables are expensive!
HDMI cables are even MORE expensive.
:-)
Stick to RCA cables if you are not too particular about how your images appear on your TV..
